Support technicians and engineers in developing automation, information and communication sys-tems as well as signal, security or radio communication systems. They assemble hardware com-ponents of devices, install operating systems and other software, set up networks or insert security mechanisms. Other tasks are creating user interfaces and user dialogs.
Additionally they adapt standard software or they program software components and interfaces. IT systems specialists also provide support in case of system failures. They eliminate dysfunctions by adjusting the software or changing defective components or assemblies.
Qualification: German Mittlerer Bildungsabschluss (intermediate school certificate). Period of training: 3,5 years.
