In its 2 March 2010 edition, the Frankfurter Allgemeine newspaper published an article on the Loewe Reference System entitled “Ein Traum aus Aluminium, Glas und anspruchsvoller Medientechnik ” ("A dream of aluminium, glass and sophisticated media technology”).
Editorial verdict:
“…Loewe simply calls it Reference, whilst we have to toil over descriptive synonyms – how do we actually want to describe what its Franconian manufacturers have brought into being, in surroundings where other furnishings are almost rendered unnecessary? Everyday terminology for entertainment technology is often coined by a product’s functionality such as television, multimedia centre, HiFi system and multiroom system – all ancillary and self-explanatory.
Those of an artistic bent among us would focus their reflexions on the phenomenon of a performance that fills the room – defined by an overall concept which is both visual and expressive; a composition made of non-reflective glass, shimmering aluminium and shapes which dialectically unite extensive power with weightlessly slim lines…”
