A convenient portal for Internet at the touch of a button
Kronach. – Loewe’s current televisions already offer so much more than superior televisual enjoyment. With the new Loewe MediaNet, the German-based premium manufacturer is now integrating even more online content into contemporary home entertainment. The Loewe Web portal, with its clearly laid out and edited content, offers a selection of Internet sites which are optimised for display on large TV flat screens with CE-HTML. The selection is regularly updated, carefully managed and available in ten languages to cater for 14 countries. Over and above this there is also the option of creating personal favourites. Uncomplicated and the epitome of convenience, the new function allows Internet content to be accessed entirely independently of the PC. The Opera Internet browser makes surfing the web with the remote control child’s play, and with new features, allows access to content such as video on demand, infotainment pages, information services for the stock market, news and weather reports, social media and simple, unrestricted surfing.
The user interface is of particular significance in this respect as it reflects the high standards in design and convenience set by the newly designed Loewe screen menu. Moreover, it allows quick and easy navigation via the remote control. Whether the EPG search is limited to one channel or the MediaNet topic filter is set to sport, operating the system remains the same – simple, clear and intuitive.
Whatever you may want to watch, listen to or discover – be it a TV programme, an Internet video, an Internet radio station or a piece of music from your own MP3 collection – selection, navigation through the available media and operation of the entire system are quite simple: and just one intelligent remote control suffices. With clear menu navigation, the central MediaPortal and the Assist remote control, everything can be operated from just one source – simply by pressing the MEDIA button.
The application possibilities are considerable. The Loewe MediaNet means checking the weather at a given holiday location is quick and easy – as is the decision to pack summer wardrobe or raincoat. In just a few steps, information on the local football team’s position in the league can be called up or a share price checked. It’s just as easy to watch the latest cinema trailers via Cinetrailer for example or enjoy opera performances at home via iConcerts. The Aupeo interactive music service is also given a new look for the MediaNet platform. Audio books at hoerbuch-direkt.tv can even be bought directly, straight away. And all quickly and conveniently via television and remote control. The Opera browser, which is optimised for CE-HTML, ensures straight-forward navigation of corresponding sites in a few short steps. During development, particular importance was placed on both intuitive and simple operation and convenience. The self-explanatory structure renders the learning process redundant. And it goes without saying that the high-definition display is designed for razor-sharp images and videos.
