 Kronach – German premium manufacturer Loewe recognised the benefits of TVs for home networking early on and has thus armed its smart flat-screen TVs for home networking as standard – for a convenient and intelligent home. Here, the elegant Loewe TV with personalisation potential becomes the interface for the intelligent home. Loewe counts itself as one of the ideas generators of the sector and works continuously on projects to further increase the networking and functional capabilities of Loewe TVs.

Home networking made easy
There is perhaps nowhere more personal than the place we feel at home. Little wonder then, that discerning customers are not prepared to compromise on the property they want and how they want it to look – and certainly not when it comes to their entertainment system which must always meet the highest of requirements. In this respect, no other manufacturer is as thoroughly prepared as Loewe: with its smart Internet and iPad applications and intelligent integration within multiroom and home networks.

Whilst most consumer electronics users spend their time using different remote controls, Loewe offers its customers various possibilities for controlling their home entertainment system either with one single remote control or in conjunction with their in-house technology as a whole, via a centralised control panel. Depending on the home network and system in question, lighting and blinds, for example, and door openers and room temperature can all be controlled via the television. Loewe flat-screen TVs can be integrated into professional home networking systems from leading manufacturers with ease, courtesy of an interface (RJ12, Sub-D9) and the RS232 protocol. Loewe’s collaboration with GIRA allows the company to provide appropriate solutions for the market. But it goes without saying that Loewe can also offer building automation solutions to its international partners. As such official drivers are available for products by AMX, Crestron and Revox, allowing Loewe systems to be integrated effortlessly into numerous home networks and systems. And because Loewe can provide just the right TV model in the right format for any room, there are no limits to even the most ambitious home networking requests.

Perfection in home entertainment
However, integration into a non-Loewe network is not a prerequisite for realising the dream that is the intuitive operation of a Loewe home entertainment system. After all, the Loewe system not only comprises high definition flat screens, but also music systems for the entire home. Various Multiroom receivers in different rooms can be supplied with music courtesy of the Loewe Mediacenter in the main room – streamed directly from the Mediacenter itself, a connected network hard drive, iPod or iPhone, or via web radio. Data transfer is via WLAN, network cable or Powerline – According to your wishes.

Archive network with Loewe DR+ Streaming
A particularly attractive USP: with Loewe DR+ Streaming video recordings on the DR+ hard drive integrated in the TV can now follow the user to any room. The Follow Me function means a programme can be paused at any time and then continued on another television set. The first TV acts as the server, streaming the programme via Powerline, LAN or WLAN to another television. Moving from the living room to the conservatory whilst continuing to watch the same programme is no problem – simply press the pause button and activate the Follow Me function. The programme can be picked up over there where it was left off, without missing a thing. It makes no difference how long the programme is paused. With DR+ Streaming, recordings can also be effortlessly streamed to a TV in another room without interrupting the programme being watched on the main TV.

With DR+ Streaming it is even possible to set up a veritable archive network with all of the DR+ hard disks in the home. All compatible televisions can be quickly and conveniently networked, allowing access to the recordings on every set from any one of the others. DR+ Streaming is compatible with numerous Loewe LED televisions and is available anywhere, subject to recording approval from the content provider.
