Perfection in home entertainment

Loewe at the IFA 2009 / Focus on home cinema system Loewe Reference

Berlin./Kronach. – “Home Entertainment in Perfection” - this is the slogan used by Loewe to present the large Loewe Reference home cinema system at the IFA 2009. “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts", stressed Loewe CEO Frieder C. Löhrer at the international press conference. Impressive home entertainment systems are created with this in mind – systems which make just as great an impression with their pure form as with their advantages as an intelligent media centre, for which Loewe also provides target-group oriented premium content.

Six important components distinguish perfection in home entertainment at Loewe: the company proves their expertise in high-definition televisions across the entire range. This guarantees the best picture and the best sound – even with an integrated hard disc recorder. New for the IFA is the addition of an external hard disc recorder to the range, with the capacity to save up to 100 hours of films in HD quality. Two HD-quality peripherals – the Loewe AudioVision audio system and the BluTech Vision Interactive BluRay player – are also being premiered at the IFA. The latter, a high resolution DVD player, is interactive, as it can take additional information from the internet to complement BluRay discs.

More than half of all consumer electronics products will be networked by 2011. Loewe has already endorsed this trend for two years, with a concept allowing the TV set to easily be connected to the home PC. With the new Mediaplayer from Loewe, access to selected online content is now possible directly over the television set. This Loewe MediaNetwork includes, amongst other things, videos from ARD and ZDF, exclusive online access to audio books and a personal music archive.

Loewe offers the perfect home network, with the home cinema system taking centre stage. In the future it will also be possible via the increasingly interlinked world of home cinema systems to integrate the TV set into the entire home network, and use it to operate blinds or lighting.

A host of solutions, perfectly adapted for Loewe consumer electronics on both a design and technical level, rounds off the bill. And it goes without saying that environmental considerations have been made in the production of Loewe products for years now.

All of these factors are what make the Loewe Reference home cinema system stand out. The system is at the centre of the 3,000 metre square Loewe exhibition stand and, in the run-up to the IFA, had already being lauded by over 250 international journalists as the IFA Innovation.
