New Loewe Gallery stores expand retail

network across the UK

Loewe unveils second phase of Gallery openings

Kronach/Irvine. – A year on from Loewe’s arrival onto the high street, Europe’s leading manufacturer of premium home entertainment systems expands its retail strategy further still, with the second phase of Loewe Gallery launches. Autumn 2009 will see the addition of six new Loewe Galleries in locations across the country including Chichester, Kensington, the Lake District, Manchester, Sheffield and Southampton.

“Loewe continues to develop and invest in its international network of bespoke dealers. Testament to this is the fact that the Loewe Group also continues to expand its retailer network in countries further afield. Starting with 70 Galleries worldwide in 2006, the total number of Loewe Galleries has continuously increased to 250 Galleries by the end of 2009. Loewe Galleries can be found in international, cosmopolitan hubs such as Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Copenhagen, Rome, Vienna, Moscow and Hong Kong”, Frieder C. Löhrer, CEO Loewe AG, points out.

Adding to an already impressive presence in the UK’s capital city, the new Kensington Gallery will sit comfortably alongside Loewe’s other London Galleries in Hampstead and Battersea and concessions in Selfridges and Harrods. The six new Galleries in Chichester, Kensington, Lake District, Manchester, Sheffield and Southampton, will also join the existing Loewe Gallery in Glasgow to provide ideal coverage for the UK.

Frieder C. Löhrer comments: “This second phase of Gallery openings endorses the great success of our existing Gallery stores since they were launched a year ago. Over the past twelve months we have worked closely with each of the stores to achieve a joint 63% increase in sales year on year, which is no mean feat for consumer electronics retailers in the current economic climate.”

He continues: “The success of our existing Galleries in Great Britain underlines the importance of a brand adequate presentation of the Loewe range within bespoke dealers throughout the UK. It’s just what the premium market needs right now, where the quality of the sales experience and sales environment is equally as important as the product proposition. Therefore the controlled expansion of the Loewe Gallery programme in the UK will continue into 2010.”

The arrival of the new Loewe Galleries is coupled by the launch of the flagship home entertainment system Loewe Reference. Setting new standards in television manufacturing, the Loewe Reference is nothing short of outstanding. The ultimate in design and technology have been combined to create a home entertainment system that provides a completely unparalleled viewing experience.
