Kronach. – The best European home entertainment system is a Loewe. The renowned specialist magazines which belong to the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) have awarded the Loewe Connect ID 46 TV in conjunction with the Loewe Home Cinema Set 5.1 the much-coveted EISA Best Product 2012-2013 award in the category “European Home Theater Solution”. Such was the praise from the independent jury: “The TV’s picture quality is matched by the excellent audio performance of the Home Cinema Set 5.1, which includes the MediaVision 3D Bluray system with iPod/iPhone dock, five satellite speakers and a wireless subwoofer (…) This is a premium package that benefits from high-quality materials and excellent craftsmanship.” The prize-giving ceremony is set to take place during the IFA in the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Berlin on 31 August 2012. Loewe CEO Oliver Seidl is delighted at the prospect: “Loewe offers multimedia home entertainment systems that are a cut above the rest: on the market, they impress by dint of their superlative individuality coupled with perfection in picture and sound. This exceptional international award only serves to drive us onwards on our chosen path.”

Loewe Connect ID
The Loewe Connect ID can be individually designed to reflect the ideas and the personality of its owner. The new TV family is available in two technical versions (with or without the integrated DR+ hard disk recorder) and in four different screen sizes (32, 40, 46 and now 55-inch) – with twelve different colour combinations and 30 unique set-up options. A broad TV range with the most diverse of characters. The choice of Black, White, Silver, Beige, Green or Orange housing colours, and of High Gloss White or High Gloss Black frames, allows the Connect ID to blend perfectly into either a classically elegant, or an assuredly progressive living environment and match the owner’s personal lifestyle. However, it is not only impressive in terms of design – the equipment inside the Connect ID flat-screen TVs leaves nothing to be desired either.

It goes without saying that Loewe uses an LED panel with 200Hz technology for optimum picture quality in all formats. What’s more, with Loewe Active 3D glasses, three-dimensional content can also be seen at its best. All formats feature HDTV tuners for DVB-T/C and DVB-S2, and a DVB-T2 module can also be optionally integrated. A wide array of connectors, including two CI+ slots, three HDMI and two USB ports, guarantee the Connect ID optimum connectivity – and the TV can also be equipped with the integrated Loewe DR+ hard disk recorder on request. This provides a total storage capacity of 500GB, allowing owners to record their favourite programmes – provided it is permitted by the content provider – at any time.

LAN and WLAN are included as standard, and the Connect ID can also be conveniently integrated into the home network via Powerline, allowing access to traditional Loewe Smart TV functions such as Loewe MediaHome, HbbTV via Loewe MediaText and access to Internet content via Loewe MediaNet. And, of course, the Connect ID also uses award-winning Loewe DR+ Streaming technology. This makes it possible to conveniently stream recordings from the hard disk to various other Loewe televisions, or to switch a programme begun on the Connect ID to a Loewe TV in another room for further viewing using the convenient Follow Me function.

The Connect ID can not only be controlled via the Loewe Assist remote control delivered as standard, but also through an iPad, using what is probably the most comprehensive TV control app there is, the Loewe Assist Media app. At the same time, once the Loewe Assist Media app is installed on the iPad it becomes an electronic programme guide (EPG) in a class of its own. This even makes child’s play of programming the integrated hard disk recorder in the home network. In the words of the EISA jury: “Control is made simple via Loewe’s new iPad-compatible Assist Media app.”

Loewe Home Cinema Set
In addition to an exceptional picture, outstanding sound is key to achieving the perfect cinema experience. And the Loewe Home Cinema Set 5.1 certainly delivers the goods. It comprises a Loewe Subwoofer and five Loewe Satellite Speakers – with one of the five speakers functioning as a centre speaker. The pre-amplifier and playback components of the Home Cinema Set are covered by the 3D-compatible Loewe MediaVision 3D system which becomes the hub of the Loewe Home Cinema Set – guaranteeing entertainment which is nothing short of top class. Whether you want to enjoy your favourite films in 3D through the integrated Blu-ray player or listen to songs from an iPod or CD, via USB or from the home network – and all in the finest sound quality – MediaVision 3D makes it all possible. It is equipped with an iPod/iPhone interface and supports playback of numerous HD audio formats (e.g. Dolby True HD, dts-HD MA etc.). If an Internet connection is available, the MediaVision 3D can even access the integrated Loewe MusicDetector. Ever wondered about the name of a track or an artist featured in a soundtrack? Well, your questions can now be answered as the respective cover is displayed on the TV screen – proof positive of the connection between technology and emotion.

And now, for the first time with the Loewe Home Cinema Set, it’s even possible to connect the subwoofer wirelessly to the MediaVision 3D. Never before has the choice of where to set up the system been so open. The Loewe Subwoofer boasts a frequency range of 34 to 250Hz and delivers a total output of a rich 525 watts. But even greater convenience is guaranteed by means of signal recognition activation. This means that the subwoofer and the integrated amplifiers always switch on automatically as soon as an audio signal is recognised.

Also included in the set is the Loewe Assist HomeCinema. Equipped with this highly practical remote, the Home Cinema Set is exceptionally easy to operate. Furthermore, it not only affords control of the Home Cinema Set, but also of non-Loewe TVs as the set is compatible with all current flat-screens – which means that exceptional Loewe sound is now available for everyone to enjoy.
