Loewe Art 40 3D DR+ Stiftung Warentest test winner

Berlin/Kronach. – “Rundum gut” [A winner through and through], was the verdict of Stiftung Warentest as it declared the Loewe Art 40 3D DR+ test winner in the latest edition of its “test” magazine. A total of 15 LCD and plasma TVs from all the major brands were put through their paces – and Loewe was able to continue its impressive run of test successes into 2012 with its new LED models. “This is an amazing result for us, in that it underscores once again the consistent high quality and user-friendliness of our products”, commented Loewe CEO Oliver Seidl on the exceptional performance of the Loewe TV.

Stiftung Warentest explained the factors that contributed to the success of the Loewe Art 40 3D DR+ in the “LCD 101 to 107 cm” screen category as follows: “Technophobes (...) just want to be able to enjoy watching TV. Only three models in the test were able to deliver this ex-works.” These included the Loewe Art 40 which delivers picture perfect viewing straight out of the box – without the need for any optimisation of settings by the user. Under the heading “Kaufen, einstellen, ärgern“ [From purchase to set up – to fed up], criticism was levelled at the degree of effort often required on the part of the buyer in order to achieve a good picture with sharp contrast. But not with Loewe. With a test rating of Good (2.1), the Loewe Art 40 was well out in front of the competition in its screen size class. Furthermore, the device’s excellent sound and outstanding range of features such as Internet access and the recording function made possible by the integrated DR+ hard disk were singled out for particular praise.

On this occasion neither the classic, elegant Loewe design of the Art, nor its integration within the Loewe system landscape were evaluated. With the ultimate in user convenience, premium quality and excellent picture and sound, the Loewe Art guarantees an overwhelming TV experience in the living room. And with the Loewe remote control, included as standard, everything can be easily operated from one source – including the Blu-ray player and the freely combinable audio components. Furthermore the unfailingly clear and easy-to-use menu navigation makes the entire experience particularly convenient.

And it goes without saying that the Loewe Art 40 3D DR+ can be controlled via iPad using the Assist Media app, thus affording the benefits of an electronic programme guide (EPG) which is in a class of its own. Moreover, the numerous set-up options allow each and every customer perfect integration into their own personal living environment, while the variety of floor stands, wall solutions and racks simply underscores the class of Loewe products and their complementary design.

The full test report is published in Stiftung Warentest's April issue "test" – a PDF version can also be downloaded at www.test.de.
