Industrial mechanics are involved in the manufacture, maintenance and monitoring of technical systems. They assemble modules and components and install these in technical systems. They are then responsible for the service, maintenance and inspection of these systems. Their work also involves the organisation and monitoring of manufacturing and production procedures and the correct selection of inspection equipment and inspection procedures. Their responsibilities also include communicating with internal and external customers as appropriate and delivering technical systems and products to customers. Industrial mechanics are able to work with documents drafted in English and to communicate in English.
Requirements: relevant secondary education certificate or higher (qualifizierender Hauptschulabschluss in the German education system).
Duration: 3 ½ years
