Dr. Detlef Teichner new Chief Technology

Kronach.  – As of December 1, 2011, Dr. Detlef Teichner (57) will be the Executive Board member at Loewe AG with responsibility for technology, which covers development and production/supply chain management as well as procurement and logistics. He succeeds Gerhard Schaas (60), who will retire at the end of the year. Gerhard Schaas will continue to serve the company as its representative on certain committees and in trade associations.

Dr. Detlef Teichner arrives at Loewe from Continental Automotive GmbH in Wetzlar. Here, he was the global head of R&D in the Infotainment & Connectivity business unit, Interior Division, managing a team of more than 1,600 development engineers. Before that, he was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Harman Becker Automotive Systems, Karlsbad, and Harman Consumer Electronics, JBL Inc., Northridge CA, USA.

Loewe has made a good start to its seasonal business with a successful appearance at the IFA consumer electronics trade fair. With new high-end products in the TV and audio sector scheduled for release in the fall, Loewe is excellently placed to satisfy the demands of the market. The focus is on customized home entertainment systems combining TV and the internet, the networking of various consumer electronics components, and new stand-alone audio systems.
